Wow

Well, it has been nearly a YEAR since the last blog. So, i will fill you in on a little bit of what has happened. Well, hmmmmmmm where to begin. Well, most recent, track. Taylor and I have been in track. We both do long jump. Taylor jumped an amazing 19 feet at his last meet at region. Me, well my P.R. for the season was 12.1.5. There is still plenty of room for improvement. Dad is now in the stake presidency, Tanner is 3 and is the busiest kid on the planet! Jessica has been very busy with dance a tumbling and has a recital soon. Jonathon has been making lots of movies with his friends and keeping busy. Mom is pretty busy trying to keep Tanner in control haha. Taylor also made Laytons (Laytons choir) and Laytons production for next year. Taylor, Jonathon, and I had a ballroom recital not to long ago that went great!! So, things are pretty good! Summer is coming and school is finishing up. Super fun!

Summer

Don't we all just love summer. The weather is dying hot, our friends all go off on some vacation leaving you with no one to hang out with, the ice cream man robs us of our money, our sibblings drive us insane, we munch on otter pops until our brains freeze. We turn into couch potatoes as we sit and catch up on the past season of the office and I Love Lucy. We get to go to lagoon and watch all the wierdos make fools of themselves (I shouldn't be talking). What I'm saying is, enjoy summer. Because soon school comes and you will start to miss it all.

17 cubs and a beautiful canyon

So how does hiking with 17 cub scouts on a 4 mile hike sound? It actually was a lot of fun. We hiked up Adam's Canyon this afternoon with the scouts and it was beautiful. We made it all the way to the big waterfall and back. The rain started to fall as we finished out last 200 yards of the hike. It was perfect. The boys did a great job and we had a lot of fun. There were a few blisters and some scrapped knees for some, but everyone did make it back.

While hiking up a couple passed us. The young man had an artificial leg. I asked him what happened as they caught up to us on the way down. He lost his leg a year ago in a zip line accident. This was his first real test of his abilities in the outdoors. He said it was harder than the thought it was going to be, but he was doing a great job. It was inspiring. Here he is overcoming a pretty difficult event in his live and he is moving forward and enjoying life to the fullest. I appreciated his courage and the example he set for those 17 cub scouts.

Oh Brother

Oh brother...brothers. Don't we all just love brothers. They are so sweet and loving. They never put you down or call you blonde. They always tell you how great you are and never... ever fight with you. They always make my bed for me, open the door, pull my chair out at dinner. They are always the one to say, you look exceptionally beautiful today. They always let you win while arguing. They are always there for you.

Well, I guess a girl can dream

Well, I guess they're not that bad... most of the time

And so it begins

We are starting a family blog! This will be a collection of this and that from the day to day life of our family. The plan is to make this a place that we can record experiences and fun things along the way that we want to share with anyone who is interested. We hope you will stop by often.

As you read you will see that we are a regular family who enjoys spending time together and helping each other be successful and happy. We are a family who love and support each other in good times and bad. We really get along well for the most part except for Son #2 and Daughter #2 who are still in the process of learning that most things they tiff about don't really matter in life. O well, we have our faults as you will see, but we will get there eventually.
